Ravichandran Ashwin is a veteran Indian off-spinner, currently in quarantine and will only join the squad after meeting all protocol requirements as per the report. The Indian team had left for UK on 16th of June with mentors and coaches. He is tested positive for covid-19 before the departure thats why he has quarantined for some days. He will be able to join his team and play for his country after meeting all protocol requirements.
The first test match will start from 1st July, before that he will get recover as per the report. However, he might miss the practice session with his team.The rest of the squad is already in Leicester after finishing the T20 series against South Africa. India has managed to equalize the series after the continuously loss in 2 matches, but the match was disturbed due to the heavy rain. Player of the series assigned to one and only Indian medium-pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has impressed a lot in this series with his extraordinary skills of swings and variations.
Rahul Dravid, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer have reached London and will travel to Leicester on Tuesday and will join his rest of the team for the practice session and many more strategy. we are hopeful that he will recover soon as well as will able to join his team for practice in time before the Test match starts on July 1.
